All Fur

This is All Fur, she's a princess that through some uncomfortable circumstances found herself alone in the hallow of a tree in a cloak made up of a thousand animal furs, with an acorn necklace containing three really fancy dresses. I won't spoil it for you.

Anyways, I have a very large book (more like a tomb really) of Grimm fairy tales and the story of All Fur was in it, so I doodled her.

Drawings done in pencil.

Updated Snake and Mongoose Tattoo, With more Mongoose

As promised, an actual scan of the tattoo and it is joined by some red pencil sketches of some mongoose. The tattoo itself in now partially lined now, but still has a long way to go. I'm pretty much terrified to touch the snake scales... Haha

Sketch Dump

Some drawing of people on the bus and then some other drawings done while on the bus when there was no one really to draw. The top three are done in pencil while the bottom two are done in coloured pencil.

These draws were done while sitting in Tim Horton's, Not all of the same occasion mind you... but all in the same coffee shop. Drawings are done in pen and pencil, there were two that were drawn in blue photo pencil, but they didn't get picked up by the scanner... Boo.

Just a couple pen drawing done while sitting in the public library with my friend Sam. Most of the time was spent listening to her silently rage over how loud everyone was being despite being in a library. I would have been more annoyed, if I wasn't so amused by her reactions.

A strange demon shadow creature? I'm not quite sure.. I doodled it after watching the episode of Face Off (can't remember what season) when they worked with some artists from DC comics to create their own super hero. Done in pencil.

Ink-pen portrait

This started out as a pencil commission from a coworker of her daughter. Unfortunately she had to can the commission part-way through for personal reasons. The picture started to make a very smudged mess in my sketchbook to the point where the picture was hardly recognizable as a person, so I decided to be ambissious (maybe a little too much so). It was going well until I accidentally put too much pressure on the pen while shading the left eye. I then tried to even it out with the rest of the portrait... It worked somewhat, but I still think it looks like I gave the poor girl a big black eye.

I believe it is finished

So this is the finished still life painting I did. I really love that cork, I really believe that was what the painting needed. This was all done on canvas board with Acrylics and was "won" by my cousin at our family Christimas party this year.

I was worried that I was going to come off a little narsictic by offering one if my paintings into the Christimas Cringle gift exchange, but my cousin seemed genuiningly excited about it :)

Tattoo in progress

Once I line and scan this I should be able to get better picture up, but this is what I have so far for a tattoo I'm working on for my friend's little brother. He originally wanted worms killing a bird, but changed his mind to a cobra killing a mongoose.

He wants it to look comic-like and semi realistic, and then said something about Batman-esque style, so this promises to be fun.
